Gameplay

Windjammers is a sports game played from a top-down perspective. Similar to ice hockey, players are tasked to shoot a frisbee at the goal zone of the opponent attempting to score.[2] In the game, players are able to select different stages and characters. Some characters from the original game, including Wessel, returns for the sequel.[3] Each character has their own attributes. For instance, some characters have more steady control than others at the cost of speed.[4] There are EX Moves, which are special powers can be activated for gameplay advantages.[5] Both single-player and local multiplayer modes are featured.[2]

Development

Dotemu, the game's developer and publisher, approached the Windjammers intellectual property owner Paon DP for a chance to develop a port to the original game and a brand new game in the series. In order to be faithful to the original game, Kevin Delbrayelle, who had retro-engineered the first game's program codes during the production of its port, return to lead the sequel's technical development. Similar to Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap and Streets of Rage 4, the game features hand-drawn 2D animation visuals.[6] The game's preproduction started in late 2017 and the title was officially announced during a Nintendo Direct held in August 2018.[7][8] The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch, and was planned for a 2019 release,[9] but got delayed to early 2020.[1]

gollark: Anywya, the only particular difference security-wise between GHPages and allowing user-controlled backends would be that the user-controlled one lets you send headers and stuff.
