Background

"We Got Love" was originally intended for Taylor's second studio album K.T.S.E.. The track leaked online in June 2018 with a spoken word outro performed by Lauryn Hill.[3] "We Got Love" was later intended to be included on Kanye West's ninth studio album Yandhi.[4] Taylor and West performed the song as a duet during the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live to promote Yandhi; the album failed to ever be released.[5] West and Taylor then recorded a music video for "We Got Love" in the TMZ parking lot, but the music video was never released.[6]

On December 5, 2019, Taylor announced through Instagram that "We Got Love" would be released on streaming services at midnight.[7]

gollark: On """professional""""" sites there would be giant headers for no apparent reason, irrelevant slow-to-load images, and tons of cookie popups.
gollark: I have a 1.1KB blob of CSS styling everything and an optional user theming thing which just injects CSS.
gollark: It's small enough to practically inline so I get a performance boost.
gollark: I don't like the gibsonoformic "essentially just plain HTML" thing entirely, so I wrote mine to have a few nice things like minor changes to lists and indentation, a 40em or something limit to make it narrower on desktop for easier reading, that sort of thing.
gollark: I personally handwrite all my CSS and my stuff looks fine. If I subscribed to one of the trendy "design languages" this could be less practical.
