Wawa River (Agusan del Sur)

Wawa River is a tributary of the larger Agusan River in northeastern Mindanao, Caraga, Philippines. It traverses the municipalities of Sibagat, Bayugan, Esperanza (all of Agusan del Sur) and the municipality of Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte.

It originates at the northeastern mountainous area of Sibagat in barangays Kolambugan and Padiay and streams down to the lowlands traversing the riverbank barangays of Perez, Banagbanag, Santa Cruz, Magsaysay, San Isidro I, Villangit, Poblacion, Tag-uyango, San Vicente, Ilihan (all of municipality of Sibagat), and barangays Del Carmen (Wawa), Taglibas, San Agustin, Mabuhay, Tagubay, Canayugan, Montevista, Sagmone, Noli, Andanan, Verdu, Cagbas, Salvacion, Crossing Luna (all of the City of Bayugan) and Mahagkot, Dakutan, Bentahon, Piglawigan (all of the municipality of Esperanza) up to Poblacion of the municipality of Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte wherein it joins with the larger Agusan River.
