Wadhwan-Rajkot metre gauge section of Morvi State Railway laid in the year 1890.[3] Rajkot-Wadhwan section was completed in the year 1905 by Morvi State Railway. Later Morvi-Wankaner section was converted to Metre gauge in 1924 to match rail lines of other state.[4]

Railway reorganization

Morvi State Railway was merged into the Western Railway on 5 November 1951. It was the last Steam engine hauled section in India in the year 2000. Before railbuses took over on Wankaner-Morvi, there were two-coach trains hauled by YG or YP steam locos (these were the last steam-hauled trains on those routes).[5] Wankaner-Maliya Miyana section Conversion to Broad gauge was completed in the year 2001.[6]

gollark: Your database is very impressive.
gollark: Hmm. Guess they're just apioform.
gollark: The boss will be blamed by the boss² for "removing checks and balances" or something even if it was a generally good change and even if the original procedure wouldn't have prevented it.
gollark: Imagine that some bad database-migration-related thing happens now.
gollark: Now, imagine that somehow, despite the challenges of getting said nontechnical boss² to do anything, they convince them successfully to remove the procedure or make it easier.
