Waipatu

Waipatu is a semi-rural suburb of Hastings, in the Hastings District and Hawke's Bay Region of New Zealand's North Island.

The community has two marae, belonging to the Ngāti Kahungunu hapū of Ngāti Hāwea and Ngati Hōri:[1] Ruahāpia Marae and Karaitiana Takamoana meeting house, and Waipatu Marae and Heretaunga meeting house.[2]
