Voyagers is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 25, 2020, by Lionsgate.

Premise

Set in the near future, the film chronicles the odyssey of 30 young men and women who are sent deep into space on a multi-generational mission in search of a new home. The mission descends into madness, as the crew reverts to its most primal state, not knowing if the real threat they face is what's outside the ship or who they're becoming inside it.

Production

The project was announced in January 2019 with Neil Burger writing and directing. The film was described as being “Lord of the Flies in space”.[1] In April 2019, Colin Farrell, Tye Sheridan, Lily-Rose Depp and Fionn Whitehead were amongst those cast in the film, with filming due to begin in Romania in June.[2] In June 2019, Viveik Kalra, Quintessa Swindell, Archie Madekwe and Archie Renaux joined the cast of the film, with Lionsgate distributing.[3]

Principal photography began in Romania in June 2019.[4]

Release

It is scheduled to be released on November 25, 2020.[5]
