Virginia's 27th Senate district
Virginia's 27th Senate district is one of 40 districts in the Senate of Virginia. It has been represented by Republican Senator Jill Vogel since 2008.

Geography
District 27 is located in the northern Shenandoah Valley and far western D.C. metropolitan area, covering all of Clarke County, Frederick County, Fauquier County, and the City of Winchester, as well as parts of Culpeper County, Loudoun County, and Stafford County.[3]
The district overlaps with U.S. congressional districts 1, 5, 7, and 10, and Virginia House of Delegates districts 2, 10, 18, 29, 31, 33, and 88.[4] It borders the state of West Virginia.[1]
