Early life

Vijay was born in the city of Taj Mahal, Agra in Uttar Pradesh to mother Vijay Lakshmi and father Mahesh Chand. He did his schooling from MD Jain School. After that he did masters in Political Science from St. Johns College. Vijay aimed to pursue Indian Administrative Services (IAS), but, he stepped into the Media industry to follow his passion.

Career

Vijay did many different works in Delhi. Vijay enjoyed working for a short while at Doordarshan as an anchor. As a lyricist, Vijay wrote lyrics for various famed television serials. Vijay has worked with famous singers like Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Mohit Chauhan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Kunal Ganjawala and many others. He wrote lyrics for songs like Soniye Don't go Away by Kumar Sanu, "Bhagam Bhag"[1] from the movie Aankhon mein sapne Liye. He has given lyrics to the entire music album of Trapped in Tradition: Rivaaz[2] as well as for the song, Ye Pal Ho Na Ho Kal.[3] He has also done a song Ye Kya Ho Raha Hai which was sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. Vijay has given lyrics to the album of the film "Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh"[4] starring Rajpal Yadav and Rituparna Sengupta, the songs of which were sung by Mohit Chauhan . Vijay has also given lyrics for "Naughty Boy"[5] starring Rahul Roy and Sherlyn Chopra. The songs for this film were sung by famous artists like Sunidhi Chauhan and Abhijeet Sawant.

Vijay has also used V Vijay and Vivek Kumar Vijay as his stage name in various film credits and live shows.

Vijay has directed many videos. He has worked for various corporate brands, including Videocon. Vijay has also launched his new entertainment company by the name of Vimoc Entertainment. He intends to produce and direct Indian movies under this banner, and also tie-ups with international projects.
