Varakkal Mullokoya Thangal

Varakkal Abdul Rahman Mullokoya Thangal (Arabic:سيّدعبد الرحمن وركل ملّ كوي, Malayalam: സയ്യിദ് അബ്ദുറഹ്മാന്‍ വരക്കല്‍ മുല്ലക്കോയ തങ്ങള്‍), the founder of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama[1] (Islamic organization in Kerala, India), was a spiritual leader and religious scholar.

Formation of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama

After the invitation from Pangil Ahmed Kutty Musliyar, he participated in the meeting held Kozhikode, Kuttichira Valiya Juma Masjid, in which PK Muhammed Meeran Musliyar was elected as president and Paron Hussain Shahib as secretary. After extending this idea, new meeting was held at Kozhikode hall, in which Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama was born and Varakkal Mullokoya Thangal was elected as president. He occupied this position until his death.[2][3]

Death

He died in 1932 and was buried in Kozhikode.
