Vann McElroy
Vann William McElroy (born 13 January 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the Los Angeles Raiders in the third round of the 1982 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 193-lb., safety from Baylor University, McElroy played in nine NFL seasons from 1982 to 1990 for the Raiders and Seattle Seahawks. McElroy's son, V.J. McElroy followed in his father's footsteps in 2007 as a freshman defensive back for the Baylor Bears.

McElroy played in the 1984 and 1985 Pro Bowls and was a member of the Raiders team that won Super Bowl XVIII. McElroy is currently an agent representing professional players in contract negotiations. McElroy now resides in Uvalde, Texas.
McElroy was traded by the Raiders to the Seahawks on October 16, 1990 in exchange for the Seahawks' eighth-round pick in the 1991 NFL Draft.
