Vallensbæk Municipality
Vallensbæk Kommune is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Hovedstaden on the east coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark.

Overview
The municipality covers an area of 9.49 km² (2013), according to Municipal Key Figures (De Kommunale Nøgletal (www.noegletal.dk)), and has a population of 16654 (1 January 2019). Its mayor is Henrik Rasmussen, a member of the Conservative People's Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti) political party.
The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Vallensbæk.
The Church of Denmark has one parish in the municipality, namely Vallensbæk Parish.
Vallensbæk Municipality was not merged with any adjacent municipality under the municipal reform of 2007, as it agreed to enter into a "municipal cooperation agreement" with Ishøj Municipality.[1]
The municipality has a beach, a marina, and the Vallensbæk Marsh (Vallensbæk Mose) recreation area.
The Local Council

The local council meets once a month and meetings are open to all. All agendas and minutes are publicly available.[3]

The town has three schools: Pilehave school (North Field), Vallensbæk school (village) and Egholm School (Beach).
