Career

Sekhar has often worked on multi-starrer family dramas portraying middle class households. In regard to his method of scripting, Sekhar has noted that he does not change his screenplay from the initial draft, and has collaborated often with comedian actors Goundamani, Vivek and Vadivelu.[2] After poor response of his directorial Aalukkoru Aasai, Sekhar then went on to produce Sarathkumar starrer Aai (2004), though the film did well Sekhar as a producer had incurred losses. He then went on to direct television serials such as Porantha Veeda Puguntha Veeda for Sun TV and Veetukku Veedu for Raj TV.

He began work on his latest venture in 2013, directing Saravana Poigai, starring his son Karl Marx in the lead role but the film remains unreleased.[3] In 2015, he was arrested for alleged idol theft.[4]

Style of work

Sekar has directed mainly family-themed drama films, and has been likened to Visu who does the same.[5]

gollark: > FALSE (named after the author's favourite truth value) is an early Forth-like esoteric programming language invented by Wouter van Oortmerssen in 1993, with the goal of creating a powerful (and obfuscated) language with as small a compiler as possible. The original compiler is 1024 bytes, written in 68000 assembler. FALSE inspired the prominent esoteric languages Brainfuck and Befunge, among other languages. I see.
gollark: I DID want some sort of accursed scripting or query language.

gollark: Neat, SQLite has trigram support now!
