The main shopping street is Main St that includes a variety of shops and a shopping mall. The area is served by Upper Hutt Railway Station.

Education

Upper Hutt School is a co-educational state primary school for Year 1 to 6 students,[1][2] with a roll of 344 as of March 2020.[3]

St Joseph's School is a co-educational state-integrated Catholic primary school for Year 1 to 8 students,[4] with a roll of 469.[5] It was founded in 1931.[6]
