Untitled Pelli Choopulu remake

An untitled Tamil-language romantic comedy film is being directed by Karthik Sundar in his directorial debut. A remake of the Telugu film Pelli Choopulu (2015), it stars Harish Kalyan and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The film began shooting in December 2019 and wrapped in February 2020.

In 2016, Gautham Menon bought the rights to remake the Telugu film Pelli Choopulu (2015) in Tamil.[3] The remake, Pon Ondru Kandein, would have been directed by Senthil Veerasamy and produced by Menon under the banner Ondraaga Entertainment with Vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah starring,[4] but was shelved due to budgetary issues.[5] The remake rights were later sold to Studios LLP, A Havish Pictures and SP Cinemas,[6] with Karthik Sundar, a former associate of A. L. Vijay, making his directorial debut.[2] The new, untitled version cast Harish Kalyan and Priya Bhavani Shankar.[7][8] Principal photography began on 11 December 2019,[2] and wrapped in February 2020.[1]

The music will be composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar.[2]
