Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi

Ullu Baraaye Farokht Nahi (lit. The owl is not for sale) was a Pakistani drama television serial which revolved around the families of two landowning brothers. Its central character was Aasia, the youngest daughter of the elder brother, Yaqoob. It started airing on Hum TV in April 2013. The serial was directed by Kashif Nisar and written by Amna Mufti and starred Noman Ijaz, Saba Qamar, Noman Masood, Irsa Ghazal, Sohail Ahmed, Uzma Hassan and Yumna Zaidi. It was based on a short story of same name by Amna Mufti.[1][2]

Characters

Story

In a small village, a long standing feud comes between the families of two estranged brothers; older brother, Mian Yaqoob and younger brother, Mianji. Their children are married in a 'Vatta Satta',(exchange marriage). Life takes a dark turn when one brother's daughter is murdered by her uncle, in revenge for his son who had been murdered years prior. The killer's daughter now has to survive in the household of the murdered daughter. Will this feud come to end without both brother sacrificing everyone they love?
