UX Lyncis
UX Lyncis is a star in the constellation Lynx. It is a red giant of spectral type M3. It has been classified as a semiregular variable ranging from magnitude 6.6 to 6.78,[4] Its changes in brightness are complex, with a shorter period of 37.3 days due to the star's pulsations, and a longer period of 420 days possibly due to the star's rotation or convectively induced oscillatory thermal (COT) mode.[5] Located around 800 light-years distant, it shines with a luminosity approximately 2240 times that of the Sun and has a surface temperature of 3323 K.[2]
