Premise
Truth Seekers is a supernatural comedy series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race. Set in a mysterious world filled with dread and just-out-of-sight monsters, Truth Seekers mixes humour with the fear.[2]
Cast

A lonely guy who works at "the most boring job you could have" – installing broadband. But he uses his job as a cover to perform amateur paranormal investigations. And now, part of his quest to find the truth about the supernatural is also about possibly making contact with this person he lost.[1] - Emma D'Arcy as Astrid

- Malcolm McDowell as Richard
- Simon Pegg as Dave:
Gus's boss, the head of the broadband company, who might be secretly up to something nefarious.[1] - Susie Wokoma as Helen

Development
In January 2018, it was announced that Stolen Picture was developing their first television project Truth Seekers, a half-hour comedy-horror series about a three-person paranormal investigation team.[4] In August 2019, Prime Video signed a full series order on Truth Seekers.[5] The series will star Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, alongside Emma D'Arcy, Samson Kayo, Malcolm McDowell, Susie Wokoma and Julian Barratt.[6] Jim Field Smith will direct all 8 episodes of the first season.[3] In a July 2020 interview, Pegg revealed that in regards to the tone of the series, "you just have to not make fun of the horror, the key with horror comedy is to take the horror completely seriously and allow the comedy to exist adjacent to it."[7]
Release
The series will consist of 8 episodes, with a targeted 2020 release.[8] In July 2020, during Comic-Con@Home, a first trailer was released.[2]
