Toužim (Czech pronunciation: [ˈtouʒɪm]; German: Theusing) is a town in the Czech Republic, upper the river Střela. It has a population of about 3,600.

History
The town was first mentioned in a document from 1354, where was written about the site of a Premonstratensian provostry. Tthe surrounding fortified town was founded in 1469.

Aeroklub Toužim
Aeroklub Toužim (ICAO: LKTO) is located near Karlovy Vary in Western Bohemia, Czech Republic, outside of the town. The airfield is used by gliders and ultralight aircraft. Aeroklub Toužim provides a place for pilots and aviation enthusiasts to obtain certifications and participate in aviation sports. Many pilots use the airfield as a training base.[2]
