Biography

Tommaso de Franchi was born in Genoa, Italy in 1626.[2] On 24 August 1671, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Clement X as Bishop of Melfi e Rapolla.[1][2] On 6 September 1671, he was consecrated bishop by Federico Borromeo (iuniore), Cardinal-Priest of Sant'Agostino, with Giacomo Altoviti, Titular Patriarch of Antioch, and Giacomo de Angelis, Archbishop Emeritus of Urbino, serving as co-consecrators.[2] He served as Bishop of Melfi e Rapolla until his death in May 1696.[1][2]

While bishop, he was the principal co-consecrator of Marcos de Ostos, Archbishop of Salerno (1692); and Teofilo Testa, Bishop of Tropea (1692).[2]

gollark: That's ONE SENTENCE, what is your problem?
gollark: Also, for mathy things I can randomly mess around on my calculator to try and numerically work out bits of the problem (which I am *pretty good* at, since I actually know most of the features of said calculator and how to combine them) and for computery things I can probably get somewhat working code done quickly and try and iterate on it.
gollark: That is probably much more learnable.
gollark: If that doesn't work I have actual internet searching abilities and do not have to ask people.
gollark: Mostly I just stare at the page, think a lot, and eventually dredge up an answer or at least an intuition about where to look.
