Titoni manufactures watches in the mid-price range. Almost all of the timepieces have mechanical movements that are assembled by hand. The family-owned company thus combines the art of the traditional watchmaker's skills with the use of the latest technologies.

The watch brand Titoni is known in Switzerland by watch experts in particular as a quality brand with an excellent price-performance relationship. For historical reason, the traditional family-run company focuses on working the international markets.

History

In the year 1919, Fritz Schluep set up a small watch workshop in Grenchen, Switzerland. He started with only three employees, but with hard work and a clear vision, the small team developed its first watches under the brand name Felco (later: Felca). Just one year later, the team had grown to 15 people and sales could be expanded to outside of Switzerland to America, Germany, and Japan.

In 1938 Fritz Schluep's son Bruno Schluep, who had trained as a master watchmaker in Le Locle, joined the company.

In the year 1952, Fritz & Bruno Schluep introduced the new name Titoni and started to use it in combination with the meihua, the plum blossom, as its logo. About seven years later, 1959, Fritz Schluep passed away, leaving his son Bruno in charge of what was now a successful watch company with worldwide sales including China and India.

Titoni entered the Chinese market in the 1950s and therefore was one of the very first Swiss watch brands established in China. Until today, Titoni continuously increased its market presence in Asia and has as of today over 600 points of sales in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, over the years, Titoni introduced many iconic models (such as Airmaster in 1969, Space Star in 1983, and the Masters Series COSC in 2006) that can still be found in the current collection. Although with lower quantity and only for selected watch models, Titoni is among the brands that certify their watches with COSC certificate[2].

Shortly after the firms 60 years' anniversary Bruno Schluep passed away and his son Daniel Schluep took over as the 3rd Generation.

In 2019, Titoni celebrated its 100th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the brand introduces its first in-house calibre called the T10 calibre[3] in combination with the new watch series Line 1919.
