Tighennif
Tighennif is a town and commune in Mascara Province, Algeria. According to the 2008 census it has a population of 39,938.[1]

Personalities
- Ternifine or Tighennif is the site of what is thought to be the earliest/oldest fossilised bones of humans in North Africa, called the man of Ternifine.[2]
- Charles Guillaume Marie Appollinaire Antoine Cousin Montauban, comte de Palikao is a famous person associated with Tighennif.
