History
Services commenced at short notice on 9 October 2012 after Countryliner went into administration the day before. The company took over Countryliner's West Sussex operations, with a subsidy from the local authority on some of the routes.[3]
On 1 September 2014, Sussex Bus commenced operating services in Crawley branded as Crawley Reds.[4] In March 2015 it operated 16 routes.[5]
On 1 October 2016, most of the services were taken over by Compass Travel with no buses nor the depot.[6][7][8]
Bus fires
The Sussex Bus had two bus fires in 2013, first in March[9] and the second in September.[10]
