The River's Edge

The River's Edge is a 1957 film noir adventure, crime, and drama DeLuxe CinemaScope film directed by Allan Dwan and starring Ray Milland, Anthony Quinn and Debra Paget. The picture is based on the unpublished short story "The Higher Mountain" by Harold Jacob Smith.[1] Location filming was done in Amecameca and Iztaccihuatl in Mexico.[2] The supporting cast features Harry Carey, Jr. and Chubby Johnson.

Plot summary

Ben Cameron (Anthony Quinn) and wife Meg (Debra Paget) struggle to build their small ranch in New Mexico desert. Bad guy bank robber Nardo Denning (Ray Milland) arrives in New Mexico looking for his girlfriend and her husband. At gunpoint, Nardo forces the couple to guide him safely to Mexico with the stolen money. Meg has a past with Nardo which her husband does not know.
