Production
It was announced in October 2019 that Robert Eggers would direct and write, alongside Sjón, a film that was described as a Viking revenge film. Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgård, Anya Taylor-Joy, Bill Skarsgård, and Willem Dafoe were in talks to join the film.[1] They would all be confirmed in December, along with the addition of Claes Bang to the cast.[2]
Principal photography began on March 2, 2020 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.[3][4] On March 16, production on the film was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[5] Production resumed at the beginning of August 2020.[6]
gollark: I'm not sure if EWO is actually being worked on.
gollark: I doubt it beats Emu War.
gollark: Also Emu War, the most immersive and exciting gaming experience this millenium.
gollark: Many things. Minecraft, not really Minetest, Factorio, Slay the Spire a bit, I have TIS-100 but don't play it, Civilization, FTL, sort of thing.
gollark: My computer mostly only runs at high power when I compile stuff, or when I do gaming.
