The Ascension is the upcoming eighth studio album by American musician Sufjan Stevens. It is scheduled to be released through Asthmatic Kitty on September 25, 2020.[1]

Release
The album's single, "America", was released on July 3, 2020.[2] A music video for "Video Game" was released on August 13.[3]
