Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana or TSSPDCL is the Electricity Distribution company[2] owned by the government of Telangana for the five southern districts of Telangana.[3]

History

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSSPDCL) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 as a public limited company on 02.06-2014 with headquarters at Hyderabad to carryout electricity distribution business as part of the unbundling of erstwhile A.P.S.E.B.

Infrastructure

TSSPDCL has a vast infrastructure facility in its operating area with 1,33800 33/11 kV substations, 2,03900 power transformers, 72000 33 kV feeders, 5,25700 11 kV feeders and around 2,46,426 distribution transformers of various capacities. In addition to these, solar power is also considered a priority in order to overcome the shortage of power in the state.[4]

TSSPDCL encompasses an area of five districts viz., Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Medak, Catering to the power requirements of around eight million consumers (covering a population of around more than two crores).

Yes, the choice of four spaces vs two isn't too significant, but being able to choose means you'll have code you can possibly read a bit more easily, and also public/privateness via *capitalization* just (in my opinion) looks ugly and is annoying if you want to change privacy.
