Team WE, formerly known as World Elite, is a Chinese esports organisation based in Shanghai. It is one of the oldest esports organisations in China.

League of Legends

In August 2014, WeiXiao retired from his League career, for which he was known as one of the best AD carry players and a major figure in Team WE's IGN ProLeague Season 5 win.[1] On 21 September 2015, Noh "Ninja" Geon-woo left he team and joined Team Dragon Knights.[2]

2011

On March 21, 2011, the formation of the League of Legends team was officially announced.[3]

In August 2011, at the WCG2011 China Regional Selection Competition, the WE team won the runner-up.[4]

In October 2011, in the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM6) Guangzhou Station "League of Legends" project, the WE team defeated the CLG team to win the championship.[5]

In the 2011 WCG Korea Busan World Finals, Li Xiaofeng, the 3rd Division of Warcraft, won the runner-up.[6]

2012

In the 2012 S2 World Finals, WE and CLG.EU appeared in the game during the game, such as disconnection, replay and other conditions, and finally lost to the opponent by 1:2, and stopped the quarterfinals.[7]

Then in the IPL5 World Finals, WE unbeaten into the final. In the final, WE won the IPL5 championship with a 3:1 victory over Fnatic.[8]

2013

In the 2013 LPL Spring Semifinal, WE lost to OMG 1:2. In the third game with IG, WE again lost 1:2.[9]

In the 2013 LPL Summer Tournament, WE and PE scores are the same in the last round. According to the relevant rules, the promotion results of WE and PE will directly depend on the results of the final round of the RNG and PE. In the end, PE defeated the RNG family, and WE missed the last ticket for the S3 China qualifier.[10]

2014

On May 25, 2014, the WE team lost to the OMG team 1:2 and won the fourth place in the LPL Spring Championship.[11] On August 16, 2014, at the 2014 LPL Summer Tournament, the WE team lost to the EDG team at 0:2 and ruined their chances of entering the summer postseason and the S4 Finals.[12]

2015

In the 2015 IEM9 World Finals, the WE team defeated the Korean CJ team and the Korean GET team in succession. In the finals, they lost to the TSM team 0:3 and won the runner-up.[13]

In the 2015 LPL Spring Playoffs, the WE team lost to the EDG team 2:3 and stopped the quarterfinals in the spring. In the 2015 Demacia Cup Chongqing Station, the WE team defeated the RNG team 3-0 to advance to the semi-finals, lost to the EDG team in the semi-final, lost to the QG team in the third game, and finally won the palace army.[14]

In the 2015 LPL Summer Tournament, the WE team won 3 wins, 11 draws and 8 losses, and stopped the group stage. [15]In the relegation match, the WE team defeated the UP team with a 3-0 victory.[16] In the 2015 National E-sports Contest, the WE team defeated the Snake team 2-0 to win the championship.[17]

The Overwatch was established on August 2, 2015. The Red Team and the White Team were established. The Red Team won the runner-up of the Bamboo Shoot Cup Week and the ESTG runner-up. The White Team won the Raytheon Cup Weekly Championship and the GEC 2016 Championship. OTA fifth season champion, NSL 2016 third runner-up, Pioneer Cup third season runner-up and NGA Cup A-class league champion and other achievements. In December 2016, due to the club's development, the Red Team was disbanded, and the White Team became the home team of the Overwatch. In 2015, WE established the FLFA division.[18]

2016

In the 2016 LPL Spring Playoffs, he defeated the QG team 3-0 and won the spring season. [19]In the 2016 LPL Summer After Season, he lost to the IM team 1:3 and won the fourth place in the summer. [20]Then in the S6 trials, the 2:3 defeat to the IM team lost the opportunity to participate in the S6 Global Finals.[21]

In January 2016, WE established the soul blade division and won the first CPL professional league championship in March 2016. [22]On July 10 of the same year, the WE team won the TGA Summer Championship "The Soul of the Soul" project champion, [23]and then on July 31, "The Soulblade" in the third CPL professional league, the WE team won again.[24] In December of the same year, the WE team won the third place in the global finals.[25]

On November 19, 2016, in the third season of the FSL professional league, the WE team lost to the TYPHOON team by 0:3 and won the runner-up.[26]

2017

On April 7, 2017, WE E-Sports Club officially announced the official disbandment of the Overwatch and the Hearthstone team.[27]

On April 29, 2017, in the 2017 LPL Spring Finals, the WE team won the first LPL championship with a 3-0 victory over the RNG team.[3]

On May 21st, 2017, in the 2017 MSI Mid-season Invitational, the WE team entered the knockout stage with a score of 7 wins and 3 losses in the second place of the group stage. In the knockout stage, they lost to the G2 team and lost to the semi-finals in 1:3.[28]

On October 29th, 2017, from the finalists, the team will advance to the semi-finals WE, 1:3 stop at the Korean team SSG.[29]
