Tamale Technical University

Tamale Technical University (TTU), initially called Tamale Polytechnic,[1] is located in the northern part of Ghana.[2]

History

The university was started as a trades school in 1951 and as a technical institute in 1963. It received technical university classification in 2018 following its coversion from a polytechnic under the technical universities Act, 2016(Act 922).[3] The polytechnic now trains students up to the higher national diploma level, with provisions to mount degree programs soon.[4]
