Tabas County

Tabas County (Persian: شهرستان طبس) is a county in South Khorasan Province in Iran.[1] The capital of the county is Tabas. Tabas County was a part of Ferdows County until July 1960.[2] At first, it was a part of the Khorasan province, but moved to Yazd Province in 2001.[3] Finally it is moved to South Khorasan Province in 2013.[1]

At the 2006 census, its population was 63,047, in 16,845 families.[4] The county is subdivided into three districts: the Central District, Dastgerdan District, and Deyhuk District. The county has three cities: Tabas, Deyhuk, and Eshqabad.
