TV Is My Parent

TV Is My Parent is the first video release by Australian singer-songwriter Sia Furler, released in May 2009 through Starbucks' record label Hear Music.[1] The album features a live concert recorded at the Hiro Ballroom in New York City in 2007, four music videos and additional "behind the scenes" footage.[3] The DVD was released following Sia's previous studio album Some People Have Real Problems (2008) and Live from Sydney EP, released digitally via iTunes also in May 2009.[3]

TV Is My Parent earned Sia the 2009 ARIA Music Award for Best Music DVD. Some online music stores offered the DVD as a bonus with the purchase of her greatest hits album Best Of... (2012).[4][5]

Reception

TV Is My Parent earned Sia the 2009 ARIA Music Award for Best Music DVD.[6] Sia was surprised by her win, stating: "I so didn't expect to win. I didn't even have my shoes on. Am I the first person in ARIA history to accept an award shoeless?"[7]

gollark: Ultimately someone is paying for these jobs, but there's frequently enough indirection that it becomes nearly-meaningless.
