Sven van Beek

Sven van Beek (born 28 July 1994) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a centre back for Eredivisie side Feyenoord.[1]

Club career

Van Beek made his full debut on 30 January 2013 against PSV Eindhoven in the KNVB Cup. He replaced Daryl Janmaat who could not play because of illness. In the 83rd minute Ronald Koeman replaced him for midfielder Ruud Vormer.[2] He made his first start for Feyenoord against big rivals Ajax on 18 August 2013.[3][4]

On 22 April 2018, he played as Feyenoord won the 2017/18 KNVB Cup final 3–0 against AZ Alkmaar.[5]

On 17 February 2019, he became the shared record holder for most own goals (6) in Eredivisie history.[6]

International career

Van Beek received his first call up to the senior Netherlands team in September 2014.[7]
