Sukanya Datta

Sukanya Datta is an Indian zoologist and author who popularises science through books, radio scripts and stories.

Life and career

Born in Calcutta in 1961, Datta was educated in the University of Calcutta where she attained her doctorate in zoology. She works for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. She has worked as the associate editor for the Science Reporter.[1][2] She has written numerous books on both science and science fiction. Her fiction work is best described as hard science fiction, focusing on the technology. She has also written some fantasy. Her works are written in English.[3][4][5]
