Karl Suessenguth

Karl Suessenguth (22 June 1893, Münnerstadt – 7 April 1955, Ischia) was a German botanist.

He studied under Karl Ritter von Goebel at the University of Munich, where in 1927 he became a professor of botany. From 1927 to 1955 he was curator of the Botanische Staatssammlung München.[1] The standard author abbreviation Suess. is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name.[2]

As a taxonomist, he classified many plants within the family Amaranthaceae.[3] The botanical genera Suessenguthia (family Acanthaceae) and Suessenguthiella (family Molluginaceae) commemorate his name.[1][4]

Written works

He was an editor of the multi-volume Illustrierte Flora von Mittel-Europa (Illustrated Flora of Central Europe) and the author of the following works:

gollark: In any case, MBS should install and only have access to the sandbox folder, disks, and ROM.
gollark: It's not SpuDOS, that's the version.
gollark: Did I mess up path resolution somewhere? Probably.
gollark: I don't know how it gets the actual potatOS startup.
gollark: The issue is that somehow the MBS installer copies the *real* startup and that gets run, and then I have no idea, but actually it might not get run.
