Subhalekha Sudhakar

Subhalekha Sudhakar (born Suravajhala Sudhakar; 19 November 1960) is an Indian film and television actor in Telugu and Tamil cinema and serials. He is known for his roles in successful television soaps such as Chithi, Anni, Kolangal and Thendral.[1][2] He has received many awards, including a Nandi Award[3] for the serial Mamathala Kovela, and his role as Thulasi's father Muthumankicam in Thendral, where he acted as a handicapped person, was acclaimed and won him the Best Actor award.[4][1][5]

Career

Subhalekha Sudhakar has acted in more than 100 films, including a few Tamil films as well. He made his acting debut in K. Viswanath's film Subhalekha. This gave him the screen name "Subhalekha" Sudhakar. He is noted for his comic and supporting actor roles.[6]

Personal life

He married playback singer S. P. Sailaja[7] in 1989, and the couple have a son Sreekar, born in 1991.
