Areas of the subject matter explored in this documentary include an examination of the warning signs, current statistics and causes of suicide, and provides information to parents and teachers to help children and teens overcome their struggles with suicidal thoughts/feelings and depression. It also features on-screen interviews with Meryl Cassidy, founder/director of the Suffolk Country Crisis Response Center, Dr. Harold S. Koplewicz of the Child Mind Institute and suicide/bullying prevention advocate John Halligan, whose lost his son, Ryan Halligan, to suicide in 2003.[1][2]

Another section of the film looks at the media and its current handling of suicide and mental health, using the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and the broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen as examples.

The film premiered in Los Angeles at the 2018 Awareness Film Festival, followed by screenings at the 2018 Chelsea Film Festival in New York City and the 2019 Long Island International Film Expo[3], where it won the Best Documentary award.[4][5]
