Encyclopedia of Popular Music |
The album was his second for Gramavision and was recorded while he was in Miles Davis's band[3] or leaving it;[4] he used two musicians from Davis's band: Omar Hakim and Darryl Jones.[5] The album was critically acclaimed,[6] though The Penguin Jazz Guide notes that "even some Scofield devotees seem unpersuaded of its considerable merits".[5]
The album is ranked number 998 in All-Time Top 1000 Albums (3rd edition, 2000).[7]

gollark: Did you send that twice as a deliberate stylistic thing or just network/Discord horrors?
gollark: Admittedly, inflation-adjusting the distant past might be slightly tricky.
