St Andrew's High School, Karachi
The St. Andrew's High School is a Pakistani private school located in the Phase VII Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, Sindh.
History and operations
The school was founded on 2 February 1986 at another campus in DHA Phase 1, but since 2001 has moved to its present location.
The school offers both O-levels and Matriculation system.
It is among the first few schools to be established by private sector in the DHA area but since its opening day has had strong opposition from the DHA, who has and want to maintain a strong monopoly for providing education in the DHA area.
The DHA promotes and funds schools that are run by retired personnel from armed forces and strongly discourages any school that are operated or run by private owners. St. Andrew's High School has repelled various tactics to shut down the school.
