Son Barry
Edward "Son" Barry (8 March 1877 – 31 December 1959) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Although his first name was Edward, Barry was known during his career by the nickname "Son". He joined Essendon from Albert Park in 1896 and was a rover in their 1897 premiership team. A regular Victorian interstate representative, Barry also played as a half forward and half back. In 1901 he was a member of his second premiership side.
