Some Velvet Morning (band)

Some Velvet Morning are a London based indie / alternative rock band. They have released two albums, Silence Will Kill You in 2007 and Allies in 2012.

  • Desmond Lambert (Lead vocals & guitar)
  • Rob Flanagan (Drums & backing vocals)
  • Gavin Lambert (Bass guitar & backing vocals)

Desmond and Gavin Lambert are brothers. They are with the label My Major Company, who operate via “crowd funding”, a new type of record label system. They raised through fans £100,000 to fund the making of their album. They have fans worldwide, and have strong fanbases in the UK, France, US, Russia, and Thailand, thanks to some successful gigs.

"Don't Think"

"Don't Think" was released as a vinyl single on 31 October 2011. The first 500 were numbered and the first 100 were signed by the band.

"How To Start A Revolution"

"How To Start A Revolution" was released as a download single on 15 April 2012. It has already been playlisted at Amazing Radio. It was used in the International trailer for the film Kick-Ass, and is the title song for the British crime thriller Two Days in the Smoke.

gollark: Why not cut out the middleman and directly crowdsource the book?
gollark: I read 1 and 2, and don't really like them either to be honest. The writing is kind of clunky, and it does a lot of "oh look, a problem appeared! The protagonist just solves it with [weird interaction of various items, used once then forgotten about]".
gollark: They should obviously specify distance in metres to 10 significant figures.
gollark: Hypothetical ones, mind you.
