Plot

Rambabu (Mohan Babu) comes to a remote village with his daughter. rambabu looks for his wife's murderer mohan raj and only his daughter witnessed the murderer. Although, follows them to kill the witness. Meanwhile, the daughter of the village chief Monica Bedi falls in love with rambabu.

In the past, Rambabu was the gram panchayat president: he was a rough and irresponsible man who spent a lot of time playing rummy, but he was a kind-hearted man. The rowdy mohan raj killed a newborn girl in the other village and supported female infanticide. Later, rambabu clashed with the other village's chief Ragavayya (Kaikala Satyanarayana) for supporting this practice. To punish Ragavayya, rambabu kidnapped his daughter Janaki (Ramya Krishna) and sequestered her in his house. Ragavayya then called the police to arrest the murderer mohan raj and mohan raj was sent to jail. Thereafter, Janaki fell in love with rambabu and refused to go back home. rambabu married janaki but he was still an irresponsible man. Later, rambabu decided to work hard and he became a respected man in the village. Upon his release from the jail, mohan raj decided to take revenge on rambabu so he murdered his innocent wife Janaki.

Back to the present, rambabu clearly objects to wed Monica bedi and he is determined to punish the heartless mohan raj. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Reception

The film is block-buster at box office

gollark: It would be mildly more complex.
gollark: The/an issue is that "revisions" should include stuff like "added/removed tags", which would require also filtering by revision type.
gollark: `created` is just the first revision's timestamp, `updated` is the last.
gollark: Technically, the current design duplicates timestamp data a bit.
gollark: > what's the pages table for thenReferencing by future tags tables, and showing metadata like last-update-time in big page lists.
