Socialism or Barbarism (disambiguation)
Socialism or Barbarism is a concept frequently used in Marxist thought and literature. Incorrectly attributed to Friedrich Engels, it became widely known through Rosa Luxemburg's "Junius Pamphlet" of 1916, where she wrote "Bourgeois society stands at the crossroads, either transition to Socialism or regression into Barbarism." It in fact originates from Karl Kautsky[1].
It can refer to:
- Socialism or Barbarism, Rosa Luxemburg's original use of the term
- Socialisme ou Barbarie, French Radical Left group
- Socialism or Barbarism, 2001 book by Marxist professor István Mészáros
- Socialismo e Barbarie, Italian punk rock album
