Simeon Toluwani Borokini

Simeon Toluwani Borokini[1] was born in Akure, Nigeria on 2 May into the family of the Right Reverend and Mrs. Simeon Oluwole Borokini. Right Reverend Simeon Oluwole Borokini[2] is the bishop of the Akure Anglican diocese. He is currently a member and whip of the Ondo State House of Assembly,[3] representing Akure South 1 Constituency.

Early Life

Toluwani Borokini had completed his primary education at Bishop Falope Memorial Day Care Nursery and Primary School Akure in 1996, while he had finished his secondary education at Saint Mathias Anglican High School, Akure, Ondo state in 2002. He later proceeded to Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo State where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts (Ed) degree in English Studies. He is currently studying at Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State for his Masters in English Language. In 2007, he obtained a Certificate in Effective Communication and Writing Skills from NUJ, Ogba, Lagos, Nigeria.

Political career

Toluwani is a politician who has been involved in various elections directly and indirectly in Ondo State. He won the 2019 Akure Constituency 2 of the Ondo State House of Assembly under the political platform of the All Progressives Congress[4]. Currently, he serves as the whip of the legislative house. [5] He is also a lawmaker representing Akure South Constituency 1, the Whip and Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology. Toluwani is a member of other Committees in The Ninth Assembly as well.[6]
