Sangtiennoi Sor.Rungroj

Sangtiennoi Sor.Rungroj is Thai former Muay Thai fighter. Veteran of over 200 fights he won the titles of Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadium as well as the WMC World title, he is now teaching in his own gym near Bangkok.

Biography & career

Sangtiennoi had his first fight at 13 years old against his parents will and won 100 baht.[1] He moved to a gym called Lukmingkwan to start his career in Bangkok, this is when he took the name Sangtiennoi Sitsurapong.

Sangtiennoi was one of the most popular fighters of his era with purses over 200,000 baht. His aggressive fight style made him a fan favorite and saw him fighting for the King's Birthday events against famous international competitors like Dany Bill and Ramon Dekkers.

During his fight with Yucel Fidan in 1999 Sangtiennoi dislocated his shoulder, this injury would pursue him and he was forced to retire in 2000 when his shoulder got hurt again against Takashi Ito in Japan.

During the recovery of injuries Sangtiennoi opened a gym in his native Pathum Thani.[2]

After his retirement he became a successful trainer some of his best students are Thanonchai Thanakorngym, Farsawang Tor.Sangtiennoi, Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi, Kongchai Chanaidonmuang and his own son Moses Tor.Sangtiennoi.
