San Sebastián District, San José

San Sebastián is the eleventh district in San José Canton, Costa Rica. An important residential district, San Sebastián is the third most populated and second most densely populated in the canton.

Geography and Demography

San Sebastian District shares its southern border with San José Province's Alajuelita and Desamparados cantons. The district also limits its counterparts, counterclockwise: Hatillo District (west), Hospital and Catedral districts to the north, and San Francisco de Dos Ríos District to the east.[1] San Sebastián registers 3.98 km² and 48,989 inhabitants on December 30, 2008 (12,308.79 inhabitants per km²).[2]

San Sebastián District includes the "barrios" (or neighbourhoods) of Bajos Canada, Bengala, Bilbao, Cañada Sur, Carmen, Cascajal, Cerro Azul, Colombari, Colonia Kennedy, Guacamaya, Hogar Propio, Jazmin, Lopez Mateo, Los Geranios, Los Olivos, Luna Park, Mojados, Mojito, Parque de La Paz, Paso Ancho, Pavi, Presidentes, San Gerardo, San Martín, San Sebastián, Santa Rosa, Santo Domingo Sabio, Seminario, Galenos, Umará and Zorobarú.

gollark: From what I understand, when you get a close-but-not-there hash, the pool gives you some currency for it.

gollark: What mechanisms do the pools have to stop you from joining them until you get a block then quitting and rejoining?
