Sam Searcy
Samuel Lee Searcy (born May 3, 1977) is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the State's 17th Senate district.

Career
Searcy defeated Tamara P. Barringer on 6 November 2018 in United States elections, 2018 from the platform of Democratic Party.[1] Searcy won by a margin of 50 percent to 47 percent of Barringer.[2]
