Salvatore Raiti

Salvatore Raiti (December 1947 – 28 May 2020) was an Italian politician.

Born in Lentini in December 1947, Raiti became involved with the Italian General Confederation of Labour in 1971.[1][2] He earned a degree in jurisprudence,[3] and served as mayor of Lentini between December 1993 and June 2002.[1][2] Raiti was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the 2006 Italian general election while affiliated with the Italy of Values party.[3] In the midst of his single parliamentary term, Raiti joined the Democratic Party in September 2007.[4] He died at home in Syracuse, Sicily, on 28 May 2020.[1][2]
