Salisbury North Football Club
[1] The Salisbury North Football Club, also called the Hawks, is an Australian rules football club that currently competes in Division 2 of the Adelaide Footy League and was first founded in 1954.

Club History
Salisbury North FC was founded in 1954 by a group of football enthusiasts who lived in Salisbury and moved into housing trust homes in Salisbury North when they first opened. The South Adelaide Football Club provided guernseys for the new team to wear in its inaugural season and played in the Central Districts Football Association in 1961 after previously playing in the Gawler Football League. In 1979, Salisbury North joined the South Australian Football Association until 1995 where it has since been affiliated with the Adelaide Footy League.
The original clubrooms were made of wooden packing cases what were collected from the General Motors Holden factory and over the years, it has undergone several extensions and replaced with bricks. A $1,300,000 upgrade for the club was completed in November 1996 and won the 'Club of the Year' award the following year.
Salisbury North has produced a number of players that have gone on to play in the Australian Football League including Darel Hart (Adelaide), Gavin Wanganeen (Essendon, Port Adelaide), Shane Bond (West Coast, Port Adelaide), Troy Bond (Port Adelaide), Michael O'Loughlin (Sydney) and Ricky O'Loughlin (Adelaide).[2][3]
