SV Rapid Marburg

Sportvereinigung Rapid Marburg, commonly referred to as SV Rapid Marburg or simply Rapid, was a football club from Maribor. The club was founded on 4 November 1909 by the Germanic part of Maribor's population.[1][2] It was the strongest football team in Maribor after the World War I.[3] They defeated I. SSK Maribor 5–0 in their first league game in the Ljubljana Subassociation League. The second game was won by I. SSK Maribor 2–1.[3]
