On November 6, 2018, Buchanan was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives where he represents the Merrimack 15 district. Buchanan assumed office on December 5, 2018. Buchanan is a Democrat.[2] Buchanan endorses Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries.[3]

Personal life

Buchanan resides in Concord, New Hampshire.[4] Buchanan is married and has two children.[1]
