Rucăr-Bran Pass
The Rucăr-Bran Pass, also called in English the Bran Pass (German: Törzburger Pass, Hungarian: Törcsvári-szoros), is a mountain pass in Romania, linking the counties of Braşov and Argeş. It has some of the most spectacular natural views in Romania, looking over the Bucegi Mountains of the Southern Carpathians.

The communes of Fundata (including Şirnea village) and Moieciu lie within the Pass.
History
In 1382, Bran Castle was built by the Transylvanian Saxons of Braşov to defend the Pass from the Ottomans.[1]
In the year 1413, a customs post in the Pass was licensed by the ruler of Wallachia. This charged a duty on all goods brought through the Pass.[2] Southwards the usual trade route ran to Cetățeni, branching out to Popeşti and Hirsova.[3]

gollark: Basically, it always starts "PotatOS", then I have 8102 hardcoded digits of tau (from which it picks a random number of them), *then* a randomly picked word containing "OS", then a non-cryptographic hash of some of the code.
gollark: No, PotatOS uses EXTREME VERSIONING.
gollark: So `0.1251192587.4` for example.
gollark: If I make a rolling release distro, I'll mildly irritate people by listing a version number which is just... the year minus 2020 or something, a counter which increments every time a package updates, and a random number.
gollark: Parenting tip: avoid parenting by putting your children in a box with internet connectivity, food and water whenever you're busy!
